A Little Bit of Snow

When we woke up yesterday, the ground was mostly bare.

It started snowing in Homewood, lightly, around 10:00am.  Patsy called from her drive to her clinic rotation at the Tahoe Donner Emergency Department, "Its really snowing."

Our friends Greg and Amy, with their 7-month old son Max, left from their weekend visit and called from the Hwy 89 & I-80 interchange, "The traffic is completely stopped."

Patsy called again, "Call Greg.  Tell them to come back right now."  White-out snow and a roll-over accident had closed I-80 on Donner Summit.  We bumped the cars down to the bottom of the hill, and when Patsy came home that evening, complaining of the blizzard conditions outside, there was about 3" of snow on the ground.

This morning we woke up to this.  30" or more, and its still coming down!
