NSAS 2012

I woke up early in the morning in the Mazamas Lodge in Goverment Camp, OR - not hard to do since day light savings had ended that night - said my good byes to the other early risers, and piled into the car for the four-hour return drive to Seattle.

The Northwest Snow and Avalanche Symposium kicked off its fourth year, this time expanding into University of Washington's Kane Hall.  We must have had doubled the amount of seats, and it still filled!  For me, the two highlights were getting to hear from North Cascades Heli Ski about their operations and from WADOT about avalanche control at Snoqualmie Pass.
