After my adventures in the Valley, I drove to Las Vegas - where I'm writing to you right now from the common spaces of a house that I'm renting with 11 other guides. We're taking the Rock Guide Exam from the AMGA in October, and we're here getting used to the approaches, descents, and rock in the biggest concentration of long, moderate routes that can be found in America: Red Rocks.
Just a few highlights from this week: Community Pillar and
Epinepherine. I got to climb Epi for my 37th birthday, a 13-hour marathon car-to-car.
