The Alpine Guide program is a new offering this year - a select group of ski instructors with special training and certifications are ready to take groups of up to five skiers or riders to show you the best of the hiking terrain, stashes of fresh snow days after a storm, or exploring the edges of the ski area.
Since this was the first time this season for the Alpine Guide program, Dan and I teamed up to show these four a good tour. After a warm-up run down D8 and lower Wolverine we found great powder shots all morning long along the hiking terrain of Estelle Bowl and then south to the wooded shots along the ski area boundary of Big Bend Bowl.
yeah, it was this good / estelle bowl
David and Catalina were so excited by the morning's runs that they came back for the afternoon, and we started where we left off. We did another lap on the High Traverse to the Big Bend boundary, then came around to the front for Dan and Catalina to ski lower Beaver Bowl while David and I dropped into the middle chute of the Three Sisters. For dessert, we rode Summit Chair one last time to take an easy stroll down Alpine Bowl and the shots below Sherwood Bowl before calling it a day.
